The IONS Retreat Center is housed on 200 acres of beautiful rolling hills, where hiking trails meander through pristine native live oak woodlands, and the surrounding open space offers panoramic vistas of the California landscape. Wildlife abounds here, and includes deer, rabbits, an occasional bobcat, wild turkeys, hawks and numerous songbirds.

The Changing Seasons at IONS
Spring: The landscape is striking in its lush greenery and arrays of colorful blooming wildflowers. The weather is temperate and marked by occasional rain.
Summer: The beauty of the land changes as the summer sun shines down on the hills turning the grass from deep green to gold. The warmest months are August and September.
Autumn: A welcoming crispness fills the air as the trees begin to lose their leaves and occasional rain hints that winter is around the corner.
Winter: The welcomed rainfall turns the grassy hills green again. Although there are the occasional frosty mornings the temperatures are fairly mild.
